Susan was among 14 cartoonists accepted into the first ever Graphic Novel and Visual Narratives residency at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, April 2023.

On December 19, 2022, Susan was the latest guest on the podcast, The Creatively Engaging, hosted by Bruce Devereux out of the Sunshine Coast of BC. The podcast is described as "storytellers and thought leaders reimagining aging in our communities." The episode is "an honest and open conversation with artist, author and cartoonist Susan MacLeod about her graphic memoir, Dying for Attention. A journey of caregiving and support through the long-term care system.”

What It Means to be a Caregiver

This 20-minute video was made by Dr. Bernadette Chevalier, Lecturer/Course Coordinator, Faculty of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of Alberta.

After she read my book, she interviewed Susan as a first-person narrator showing students a family member's perspective on how care is delivered in nursing homes.
